The season kicked of - for Massey's U85's against East Coast Bays U85's late Saturday (13th of April) with a new look team (old and new faces) and a new coaching group.

They certainly turned on the rugby with impressive win and racking up 38 points and keeping a clean sheet against Bay's U85's.

This is definitely the way Luke, Janko, Kash, Courtney and the team would have wanted to start the season.

Special mention to Rob Cooney - a massive thank you for the many years of coaching service to this team and being apart of their rugby journey.

Massey Panthers U85's - 38 vs ECB - 0

Travelholic - MK Rangers (womens) lost 24 to Patumahoe - 34;

This was with MK Rangers leading for most of the game but succumbing to a more experienced Patumahoe team in the last 10 minutes - it was a great game and lots of supporters cheering on both teams.

Ports of Auckland - Massey Senior 1st - won 22 against Ponsonby Rugby Club 17; in a 1st round Auckland rugby competition - it was a hard fought game that saw both teams blowing out the cobwebs and rust for the new season.

Massey Maulers - Presidents team played Kumeu Rugby Moisty Maulers Presidents (as always game finish 4 all draw) - it was really a game of 2 halves and like normal it's not always about the game but the great social aspect - a couple of cold shandy's and the great BBQ of pork butts etc (thanks to Chris and team from Smoked Out West).
